[Terra's walking in the opposite direction when that splash makes her take notice. She whirls around, eyes widening.]

I didn't think to ask if you had any weapons, but there's a shop for that, too. Even if you don't, it's not a bad idea to learn, given that we could be drafted to fight....

[ ...oh dear. Glitch stops chewing, swallows hard, and blinks repeatedly. ]

Ah. N-no, I I I don't have any-- fight what? [ he looked around the store for any approaching threat, instinctively shifting his weight in preparation for bolting if need be ]

[Feeling a little guilty for making him nervous, she shakes her head.]

There isn't an immediate threat, but...there is a group in this world that don't like what the Malnosso are doing and want to invade. Unfortunately, they don't like us, either. That's why the Malnosso sometimes draft people, to fight them.

[ at that reassurance Glitch relaxed slightly but still holds the apple closer to his chest. ]

Oh. I I I guess that's...not fair and not okay and kinda scary but I can deal with it, I think. I really don't know if I know any weapons but I can fight, if if I have to.

There are also people here who would be willing to teach you, too. Buffy put together a fighting school, and there are plenty of others who could help. I...suppose I could, if a sword is more your style.

[ Glitch nods, and quietly mutters 'Buffy has a fighting school' to himself. he perks up with interest at Terra's offer to help, then frowns and shrugs. ]

I I dunno if I have a style beyond kicking things but...we could try it and see, sometime.

At least the basics or something, so you'll know what to do if you ever need one.

Right. [ Glitch is still very decidedly unhappy about this development, but he takes another bite of the apple for comfort, swallows, and gives Terra a little smile. ]
