Well, you might find it within. They leave our old clothing in the shop, most of the time. Why we have to search for it when they bring it over, I don't know.

The best part about being here is that we can take whatever we want. There's always more, and money doesn't exist. So, everything's free. I guess it's their way of compensating us, or something.

[ Glitch had outfitted himself in new boots, trousers - grateful to no longer have holes in the knees - and a button-down shirt. much to his amazement the racks had also produced his most precious possession: a once elegant uniform coat in the Napoleonic style, the tattered tails reaching his ankles, the shoulder seams split where the epauletts had been ripped from them, sleeves slit to the elbows and closure hooks long since torn away. the mangled remains of the intricate braiding were the same dark yellow color of his wings. ]
Well that certainly is something, I I guess. Actually it sounds kinda nice if not for the whole...y'know, being here against your will thing.

It doesn't nearly make up for what they've done, I know. They'd have to do a lot more, for that to happen.

The Welcome Center takes in people until they settle in, but it's easy to find a place to live here. Just claim any empty apartment or house, more or less. Though...some people don't like it if you claim a big house to yourself and don't share it.

I understand. My world was torn by war, too. So much went wrong, and needs rebuilding...and that makes it all the harder to wait here. But I'm sure you'll get your chance to help, when you've returned.
