It's been a trying couple of months for a variety of reasons. Dealing with a loved one suffering from dementia has its ups and downs (yes, there are ups as long as one retains one's sense of humour), but I won't dwell on the downs. That doesn't do anyone any good.
For the most part, hubby is still very active and loves to go for his long walks,

I'm looking forward to the photos. Actually, posting them to LJ isn't that difficult, assuming your scrapbook isn't full yet. You just click on the little picture icon (the first on the right of the head symbolizing LJ users on the menu bar above) and than chose Upload. It ought to work that way.

It's great to hear from you!
The man with the trees was quite touching. Poor guy - losing his family so close together. I hope the trees survive so he can see them and think of his siblings.
I hope you can figure out how to post your photos. I go to my scrapbook and upload there, the click on the picture icon while I'm posting, and choose "from album".

Thank you so much.
The man with the trees was a sweetheart. I'm so glad I decided to stop and talk to him. I took photos of his trees the other day and will keep doing so to track their progress. If I ever see the man again, I'll show him the photos.
I'm going to check out the scrapbook feature. I did have a scrapbook from years ago. Hope I can still access it although I no longer have a paid account.

I've been on the trail twice since my neighbour saw the bear, but always with a group of people. Still, I am terrified of seeing one.
