I've said it before and I'll say it again: there are few things I hate more than people who pretend to be really ridiculously sweet to others' faces and then stab their 'best friends' in the back. There's just no excuse for that. And there is a distinct difference between being friendly and civil when you don't really like someone and being fake

One of my Chilean friends told me that being evasive about your feelings like that is very American. I like it better when you know whether or not someone likes you.
