I've managed, in my painful search of Amazon and the web, to discover a few novels in which Walsingham plays a part. I'm getting toward the end of "On Stranger Tides" now and I'm not enjoying the latter half as much as the first. For one, my favourite character's been killed off, and for two it is just bloody strange! :D Heheh. Hilary Mantel has won the Booker Prize this year (which includes a cheque for £50,000!) for her book "Wolf Hall". Anyone read this book yet? It's a Tudor history novel so I want to read it eventually, though it's set in Henry VIII's court rather than the Elizabethan one, the latter being the one I'm rooted in at present ( Read more... )

I am so POOR! Matilda mark2 has cost me around £200 to fix, and then I've spent about another £100 on petrol for the three dog shows I went to last week (I drove over 200 miles in one day on Sunday!
