I'm getting toward the end of "On Stranger Tides" now and I'm not enjoying the latter half as much as the first. For one, my favourite character's been killed off, and for two it is just bloody strange! :D Heheh. It'll be interesting to read how it all ends, though, so I'll keep going - then I can start on my pile of Elizabethan fiction. Huzzah!

I'm a bit worried about my boy Phoenix - he's been a bit poorly the past couple of days, and hasn't been eating properly, and he's lost a lot of weight. He's all skin, fluff and bones! I'm really struggling to get any weight on him anyway, so for him to be ill and lose more is not good... If he doesn't start putting weight on, we're going to have to go to the vets and maybe have a few tests done. Has anyone else ever had problems keeping weight on their dogs before? I've been told it could be a thyroid problem. I hope not, but Phoenix is a such a skinny boy. It doesn't help that he's very stressy and highly-strung, but I'd rather not feel his ribs quite as well as I do.

reading, phoenix
