I stole it from a Touhou fancomic.

I kinda sorta briefly considered apping Reimu, but didn't have enough canon experience.

Touhou gets about 6-9 characters with each new game so it really starts adding up after awhile, XD.

Basically some guy drew...or maybe I should say type because it was text-art the heads of Reimu and Marisa saying "Take it easy"

It was so bad that people thought it was funny and so someone drew it as real art.

Then someone did a fancomic where Reimu met the Reimu head...things promptly took off from there.

It probably has something to do with their resemblance to Japanese meat buns and the flying heads in Japanese myth. Probably.
