Firelizard hatching

Morty was settled near the balefire with a book on woodworking and a covered dish of meat. He had pretty much spent the majority of the past week that way, waiting for the fire lizard egg to hatch.

Ali's curled up on the bed in 'her' room, working on a bit of lace and bobbing her head to whatever music she's got piping through her headphones.

*he knocks on the door frame* Hey! *He grins and holds up the fire lizard.* Look who decided to come see the world!

She looks up at the knock, turning off the music and setting everything aside. "Well hello there! Isn't he grand? Is it a he or a she?"

The man with the dragon said only the gold ones are female. So this one's a he.

*He sits down on the bed next to Ali.* He's so cute. I wonder how long til he grows out of it.
