When something happens in my life, it is almost instinct to put up my shield. People sidestepping my barriers, my force field meant to block out anything bad - or anything that I know could hurt me. With certain people I've wanted to say

"oh yeah, I trust you with everything. I -have- no barriers with you!"

But I know that that is a lie

Don't worry Hannah, I know you are far from a closed heart, everyone fears pain but it eventually finds us. But thats apart of life, sometimes we have to put ourselves out there regardless of that. It's okay, you can hold back if you want but the fact that you are trying to let loose shows you care. You aren't lying to anyone really, you are trying and that is what is most important.
