this is how evolution works. if you're unfit to survive, you die. clearly i'm unfit. it's a natural mechanism, a subtle way of making sure that my defective genes don't get passed to any offspring. a defense mechanism for the species, making sure that i won't survive to reproduce

if you're unfit to reproduce, you don't reproduce.
prove you are fit to reproduce by surviving long enough to pass on your genes. or at least your legacy.

why does there have to be a point? you have no obligation to do things for other people. do them for you. live for you. find a point in things for yourself.
you don't have to matter to anyone else. you do, but you don't have to.
there's not a point. you have to make one.

i don't know what i'm saying. i don't know how to argue my point any more. we're just operating from different sets of assumptions and i don't know how to change those assumptions.

it takes trying. making there be a point takes trying and i just don't have the energy, i don't ahve the energy to fail again and again trying to make anything be worth anything.
