this is how evolution works. if you're unfit to survive, you die. clearly i'm unfit. it's a natural mechanism, a subtle way of making sure that my defective genes don't get passed to any offspring. a defense mechanism for the species, making sure that i won't survive to reproduce.
people aren't basically good or basically bad. they're indifferent. the world is indifferent. It's advantageous to be. 999 times out of a thousand, stopping to help someone does more harm to the species overall than good. it's been bred out of us--if you care, you risk your own resources. if you just keep on walking when you hear a crying noise, you deny the chance for a problem to take up your resources.
if i'm not surviving now, clearly i'm not meant to survive.
nothing is getting better. nothing has been for a long time.
i'm average. there would be uncomfortable silences surrounding my name for years, but so few people would actually mourn. the world is indifferent.
i do not matter. i am not special. i am not contributing anything to this world and there is no point, absolutely no point if i am defective anyway.
