Here's the sad story. Last night, around 10:15, while watching the continuing marathon of Farscape brought to me by the letters Green and cine, I had a call from escapist_xbq who said to me, "Guess where I am?" After no effort at all on my part, she told me she was in line waiting to get an ( Read more... )

YAY :) I found you through the "other" Jenn's journal and had to pop in and say Hello!!!! I'm so glad I got to squee with you :) and it turns out we have something in common...you know other than the obvious domlovesbillysomuch...I'm a teacher as well :) Trust me, I have NO CLUE how I functioned yesterday in class.

how interesting. wow 8th grade! i couldn't do it. my first teaching job after grad school was teaching 7th and 8th grade french and 8th grade english for a quarter. it pretty much destroyed me. now i work in an alternative high school teaching french and electives--this year i've been teaching senior quest which is the final senior project/paper/presentation without which they cannot graduate. so hello to the pressure! but i also teach a leadership class and i've taught all kinds of other things. i love it. but i'm so excited to have the year ending. is your school part of the year round thing? i have cousins in corona whose kids are three months on and one off. oh yay for the shop talk! anyway. i'm so glad we met--i kind of keep marveling at the smallness of the community and the world, really!
talk to you soon!
*hugs*

Hey Julia...

LOL...funny how things work, isn't it? I'm so sorry you didn't get to talk to Dom because then we'd have even more to squee over. But that day will come.

Anyway... hi there!!

*friends you*

Ach! This story still makes me bleed for you. So close and yet so far.

But anyway, I'm here on OT business, because I just realized it's the first weekend in June and we were tentatively trying to get together one of these days. Unfortunately, I'm still not in a position where I can drive myself anywhere, so I'm afraid I'm going to have to put you off a few more weeks. When are you heading to France? Hopefully, we can get together before then. Let me know what works for you!

Sounds good- it's beginning to look like I won't be quite back to normal by June 22 anyway. And yes, they do have movie theaters in Beaverton, or in the general vicinity anyway. So yes, concentrate on getting ready for France, and we'll do chocolate sometime this summer!
