YAY :) I found you through the "other" Jenn's journal and had to pop in and say Hello!!!! I'm so glad I got to squee with you :) and it turns out we have something in common...you know other than the obvious domlovesbillysomuch...I'm a teacher as well :) Trust me, I have NO CLUE how I functioned yesterday in class.

i'm glad you cleared up my little confusion. so cool to connect with you via lj. i almost asked you on the phone if you were a journaler but was too caught up in the squee. so what do you teach? and are you in la? i'm so glad you had such a great experience with dom. i'm green with envy...i couldn't even sleep last night thinking about all the what if's. ah well. someday.....

Yes, I live in LA...well, in the Valley...but I teach 8th grade Resource math and english at a junior high in LA...what do you teach??? I'm glad we connected too :) LJ is such a great place to meet people :)

how interesting. wow 8th grade! i couldn't do it. my first teaching job after grad school was teaching 7th and 8th grade french and 8th grade english for a quarter. it pretty much destroyed me. now i work in an alternative high school teaching french and electives--this year i've been teaching senior quest which is the final senior project/paper/presentation without which they cannot graduate. so hello to the pressure! but i also teach a leadership class and i've taught all kinds of other things. i love it. but i'm so excited to have the year ending. is your school part of the year round thing? i have cousins in corona whose kids are three months on and one off. oh yay for the shop talk! anyway. i'm so glad we met--i kind of keep marveling at the smallness of the community and the world, really!

My kids are on a traditional track so only 3 more weeks of school *happy dance* but my 8th graders are all in their "senior slump" mode..as is their teacher :) I'm glad we met too :) YAY for new friends :)
