I would try to give trite advice but me feels that I don't know the situation enough to do so. I have nothing good to write.
as for 3 am drunken conversations, I think they're part of long-term relationships. Every once in awhile, our partners will spend lots of time talking w/others about things close to them--and not talking to us. Sometimes you need a perspective from some place else to sort of knock away some of the ice like a hammer and a chisel. It's just tough b/c the person who knows you better than anyone is left out (oh, and w/a baby no less). I think in this case, maybe talking about stuff w/him would help?

You're right. It comes with the territory and we have been in many a conversation since....just trying to slog through it. Still I'm bruised. And maybe experiencing some post-partum depression?

Maybe Jaala will have insight into post-partum; or maybe it's just post-baby & way-to-much-to-do depression.
Funny, tho, because your lj-post reminded me of me--in the way that I don't feel like I see people enough & don't feel like i've got enough people to talk to (that's a big reason why I started an LJ). In my case, gee, maybe not seeing people enough & not having people to talk to is related, huh? whatever.
I hope that the bruising soon gets put into the "sometimes being married can hurt like hell" category (at least in my so-called married life/whatever) & fades down into life experiences.

I'm sure that my social problems are related to my own inability to reach out and remain safe and secure in my friendships....this is not chris' fault.

I would love to talk on the phone. Perhaps sometime while I'm on my commute (bad - cell phone habit I know - but good use of time).

When do you usually commute?
Reply
Actually - usually in the 7 am hour and the 5 pm hour.
Would love to catch up.
