That almost makes sense.
I've heard skyclad in a general pagan-ritual context, for people wearing much less than a kilt, but the specific term for someone wearing a kilt [ahem] "appropriately" is "regimental", which just in terms of the word and context, isn't that far off of the American term "commando", and seems to fit.
