Well, the doctor told me several times that she was waiting for the pathology report, and I was unconcerned. I was out of it enough that I didn't latch on to the possible worry until she said it was all normal, and I was cancer-free.
*Then* my brain went around in little hamster wheels, all freaked out that it could have been worse, until a few moments later, when I realized how silly I was.
Reading your answers to the subsequent comments... An awful (literally) lot of this is familiar, from going through it with my dear Dunkelpig. (The icon is our guinea pig she took her LJ name from.)
So glad that you're home and healing! I think you're the first person I've known who's had the Davinci surgery... technology is truly an amazing thing!
I was sort of wishing I still had them back home. They made me feel warm, and my legs all relaxed. I could see where they might make people feel like they wanted to be left alone, and not be touched any more, though.
It's a good thing I don't have to be strong all of the time, because I'm not.
The hospital staff was all so very nice, though, it was easy to be okay with being poked at, even at night. The second night was easier, because my vitals were stable enough that they could let me sleep without worrying that things would stop functioning if they didn't check on me!
The world is still at a stage where things are only sunny while my meds are up-to-date, though.

My Mom hated those leg massaging things. She couldn't wait to get out of them.

I'm still pretty emotional, though. It doesn't take much to overwhelm me.
