Nods. If I hadn't known how to Heimlich myself, at least four other people in the room could have helped, having to be current in First Aid to work where we work.

I'm so glad you were around helpful people. Something similar happened to me when I was about 12 and in my own home with my parents. Let's not even think about the might-have-beens!

I choked once for a few seconds when I was pregnant with my first child, which resolved itself when the baby inside me kicked up. I remember freaking out a bit about the "what ifs" then.

I got a bit freaked out after school, when I thought about it a little when I wasn't too busy any more.
