Невероятная история. Реальная невероятнее любой придуманной.

Mody family in Ussuriysk anonymous September 23 2009, 19:14:32 UTC
Greetings -

I am writing to you from here in San Francisco, California, USA

My Great Grandfather was from Estonia. His name was Nicolas Mody.
We believe that he left Estonia in the late 1800s as part of the Russian Volunteer Fleet and emigrated to Vladivostok.
He married my Great-grandmother in Vladivostok, Her name was Paula Vinogradova.

Their daughter is my grandmother, Zinaida Nicolaevna Mody. She was born in Ussuriysk in 1904. She moved to Shanghai China after 1922 and never returned to Russia.

I need to find my Russian family roots. I know that somewhere in Ussuriysk
there is a cemetery or town hall or register that has the name MODY or VINOGRADOVA.

I need to get in touch with as many towns and cities in Vladivostok or Ussuriysk in order to ask whether the name MODY is known in their area.

Please help me in my search.

Thank you very much for your help.

Ольга, мой дед то же Мокей Евстафьевича Верхозин. А харитина моя двоюродная бабушка. Очень рада через интернет найти свою родственницу. Написала вам сообщение в аську и на сайте уралгенеология.
