Connecticut was only mildly bad. Charlie's fiancee, Kimmy, is sweet, albeit a little too cheery for me, but I was expecting that. Thankfully, Dan was able to convince her that Katie would be a much more suitable bridesmaid than me. Dan is quite good at weaseling out of things.

...for reasons that are...beyond me, Charlie's fiancee has decided that, despite the fact that I've never met her, the thing to do since I'm Charlie's only sister is to make me one of her bridesmaid's.
This can only end poorly.
Very poorly.

I had lunch with Riley Toth the other day. It was a good time, and I'm enjoying getting to know him. It's nice to see a young defense attorney still so optimistic. My youngest brother, Charlie is getting married. An argument between us ensued, as it usually does. He was my mother's favorite, so I guess it's inevitable. We've never been close. I was already out of the house when he was born...it just feels odd. I haven't even met the girl. I should call my father... -
