I remember when we had finally determined that we were moving to Austin that I bitched about that certain kind of Texas person. Yeah, as you know I'm from Alabama, and I don't care what the locals say, Seattle's BBQ sucks in comparison.

What scares me about Texas is that when the residents talk about it being illegal for the Union to invade during the Civil War, they're technically correct.

Well that and all my relatives there, who are of the big belt buckle, cowboy hat and cadillac convertible with horns on the front variety.

Is Shiner Bock a Texas thing? Because we consume a good deal of it around here, and IIRC, Saint Louis is considered part of "the East."
