Reading: Still reading The City & the City, which is a solid read but man I miss Bas Lag. Also, I've been reading over the Summoning rules in the Magic Burner. My character can summon the sanctified dead, the unsanctified dead and demi-gods. Oh yeah.

Reading: I read Courtney Crumrin and the Night Things last night and it was adorable. Review is-a-comin'. I am now reading Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell and it is splendid. The perceived slowness, to my mind, isn't because of the pacing of the actual text, but because the inside cover blurb discusses the going's on of almost half the book. ( Read more... )

Reading: The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss and it is scratching my fantasy itch quite nicely. I am going to write a longer review once I am done but if you have lived in Ithaca and had brushes with its academia, you'd love it.
