Pre-Jiffy Con Friday

I should be packing.

Reading: Still reading The City & the City, which is a solid read but man I miss Bas Lag. Also, I've been reading over the Summoning rules in the Magic Burner. My character can summon the sanctified dead, the unsanctified dead and demi-gods. Oh yeah.

Planning: Jiffy Con!

Wearing: Sweat pants and a t-shirt.

So far it has been an interesting read. The setting looks like a lot of fun and the system is manageable.

I guess I'm going to have to check out the show one of these days.

We plan on leaving bright and early in the morning and getting there ASAP.

Yeah but I don't think you're getting up at 6 and leaving at 7, which is what you'd need to do at least to get in Greenfield by 9.

But if you are, awesome! I'd love to run Janaki on Misspent Youth.

Actually, that's exactly what we're doing.

At least that's the plan.

Reading: The End of the Story, the first book in a collection of Clark Ashton Smith's stories. Incredible stuff! Also, Watchmen. Also, Labyrinth Lord. I have a craving for some old-school gaming that never was (for me; I'll have to expand on that some day).

Planning: A solo 4e campaign for my daughter.

Wearing: Jeans and a t-shirt. I wanted to describe that outfit as "customary" but before noon I'm usually still in my PJs.

Writing: A simple mapping feature with scrolling and zooming for a commodities brokerage system I developed.

If that Smith book's from Night Shade books, that's the company having a 50% off sale on purchases of 4 or more books.

That's the one. Hmmm, interesting. Thanks for the heads up on the sale.
