I leave the Indianapolis International Airport (IND) at 7:25 AM on 16 September 2006 on Southwest Airlines flight 1121, switching to flight 2814 in Baltimore (BWI) and arriving at the Manchester International Airport (MHT) at 11:40 AM. I will be in New England until the morning of the 24th of September.

Yay new dishwasher installed! I have not yet used it, but Stacey has told me that it is whisper quiet. I am pleased.

These trips to Chicago where I go up and come back in the same day are taking their toll on me. At least with this last one on Friday, I got back before midnight. The time before, 5am, and the time before that, about 3am. I had a contractor with me this time that moves a LOT faster than any of our field techs, so that was some small consolation. I'm going to Chicago again tomorrow, whee. Finishing up a job we couldn't even START last tmie I was up there the other week, as well as completing an ethernet installation on the 21st floor of a highrise we've been working on now since May. It's HOT. I am sick of it being so freaking hot. It peaked in the upper 90's yesterday and the humidity here, which normally is better than what I was used to in New England, could only be described as "oppressive". What the hell ( Read more... )

Proper grounding and lightning-arresting equipment won't save you from a direct strike, but is good standard operating practice anyways.
