Nicely done. I enjoyed Once Upon a Dream and am excited to see you flesh it out with this story.

Thank you. I'm glad some readers who enjoyed that story are finding this version.

I continue to admire/like the way you have Luna 'invading' the Trio, by popping up unannounced in her tree. Did she deliberately sneak up on them or was it the other way around, with them camping underneath when she was already present? Harry should ask her some time, maybe (when they're more comfortable with each other). She seems to be targetting Harry a bit, here at the beginning - taking his hand, extracting his promise - so I think maybe she was snooping. The girl who prizes her few friends so much doesn't want to lose them (/him).

Luna smiled slightly, though her eyes were strangely hard.

Luna doesn't like being lied to. Why is it that I feel it should be a crime to lie to Luna Lovegood? Because of her own blunt candour? That aura of 'innocence' attached to the character? That 'strangely hard' description rattled me slightly; I felt a bit cross at Harry.

I enjoyed the chat with Ginny; you dragged in quite a bit of the canon there, I enjoyed the references, from the feeling "clawing in his chest" onwards.

Thank you. This chapter has a higher percentage of recycled content vs. the other chapters, which may be why it seems familiar. It's funny, though, I slipped in a few minor details that portend a major shocker and no one's picked up on them. When you figure it out, you may feel differently about Luna's candor.

I've deliberately reverted to Ginny's OOTP personality, as that was when I liked her best. She will remain sympathetic. I like Ginny and there's enough going on without jealous exes.

The second interesting thing was that she was from the class of '45 ... which I *think* was around Tom Riddle's era at Hogwarts ( ... )

I can neither confirm nor deny your specific theory. All I'll say is that Caroline being a Slytherin and from an old family is important.
