Last night I had a couple of hours off, and I watched me some SGA Baby! Not any of the new episodes that I haven't seen yet, because that would put an end to the months-long foreplay I have been engaging in...or something.

I re-watched Sateda because I was doing some work on the giant senseless sci-fi novel I am still writing about Ronon

I am doing the writey - I swear! I just keep galloping off down blind alleys that I have to delete (and also occasionally having to go to work) but slow & steady progress is being made.

But rescuing orphan girls would obviously be a major embedded cultural/sociological priority in the Satedan culture I have been making up - so that's ok then.

Nothing like seizing on silly writer/director decisions for fic. I'm hoping you make something more of that in your series?

I am! And actually, it's turning out to be wierd fun, ducking and dodgeing around the strange writing choices.

The most crazy-making one is Aurelius the Wraith King. I mean really - what were they thinking? The whole world of the Wraith had believable structural consistancy and then pffizle!

I guess they thought they needed a tough guy to face down Ronon, but I would have liked the sight him on his knees in front of a Queen just as much as I do Sheppard!
