Coming up on Super Tuesday:

The winds seem to have shifted about, and in some quarters people are charging at the next Tuesday in a do-or-die mode, with Edwards throwing a lot of money at media and scrapping his events schedule, for one thing. I just read on the Chicago Tribune site that the AP says that Edwards is bailing out. That's not a complete surprise, given his less-than-spectacular showings, though I know you were interested in him.

I wonder which (or if) way he'll lean between Clinton or Obama...

I'd expect that if HC starts losing ground, the gloves will really come off, and you'll see more of Obama's Chicago machine connections (and state voting record, backers, financiers, lobbyists, etc.) exposed. The Clintons' dirty political laundry is pretty much all out there. Obama's has barely been discussed.

Can't tell offhand where you're from, but in these parts, Obama's voting record has been discussed plenty, as well as his sponsorship of various bills and such.

So far, the only real surprise to come in from left field has been Obama's association with Tony Rezko, which he's doing everything he can to distance himself from now. What was funny was when the Clinton photo-op with Rezko surfaced - not as problematic as with Obama, but still funny, given Clinton's rants. Note also that his political career has been at the state and U.S. Senate level, not at the Chicago level, where the Machine would be most influential.

While I'm not saying there can't be something to be exposed, I think it will be precious little, given Obama's character and the circumstances involved.
