S’peech!

Obama gave a fantastic speech, even for him.

Bobby Jindal was - well, bad wasn’t the word for it.  Appalling doesn’t touch it.  I think I just saw what happens when someone decides to do forbidden DNA mixing of Arnold Horshack, Kenneth Purcell (the page from 30 Rock), Arnold Stang and Eddie Haskell, shaken, not stirred.  One pundit said that he was ( Read more... )

I thought Obama came up with his administration's Theme in the speech: The New Foundation. It was a good speech, close to a great speech but not quite. He stumbled a little and didn't extend his New Foundation metaphor to the specifics of his programs. He was grand and grandiloquent, halfway between a preacher and a scold.

Still, his A- is higher than any thing Bush ever did, and when he got rolling he was almost as good as Clinton. I suspect he'll just keep getting incrementally better.

Oh... who cares what the GOP has to say? I'm still pissed at them for converting "post partisan" to "bi partisan". They keep forgetting how wrong they've been. When they start apologizing -- when they show some of that famed "personal accountability" they insist in others -- they may regain some of their lost credibility. At the moment, it's less than 0.

Blink ... huh?

Let's see, one of the greatest public speakers of the time, or the guy who everyone says sucked last night ... I dunno ... it's a hard choice.

Oh, I am being facetious. (I forgot to change the icon to my Muttley one. Sorry.) I was *amused* at Jindal's performance last night.
