Johnny's Jr
Wink up 3-2012
We asked stories with the “sweet” as the theme!
Reia Nakamura
Speaking of “sweet” or “soft,” that would probably be Kishi (Yuta). When the rehearsal for the day ends, the staff tells us the schedule for the next day. Maybe Kishi thinks that he can just hear the schedule from the others later or something, but he’s not listening very closely. That’s already being soft, isn’t it? And then he asks us. Multiple times, too. Maybe he’s not soft but he’s worrisome? And even in emails to his friends, he adds heart marks. In many ways, he is “sweet” (laughs).
Yuta Kishi
Reia was saying that I was soft? The reason I check the plans for the next day is because it’s something important. But I also kind of think that I can ask later. It just means that I trust Reia and the others that much more, but maybe I’m too soft. But my dog loves me. When I go home, he always springs up on me. Within the family, I’m the friendliest with him. He’s a Labrador, so he’s heavy and troublesome though.
Mizuki Inoue
I love sweet things like chocolate cake! When we go out to eat conveyor belt sushi, there are sometimes places where they also have chocolate cake along with sushi. I eat it for sure. And Kuramo-chan (Kuramoto) is sweet to us. He plays around with me by saying bad things about me. And then when I say, “Kuramo-chan, I didn’t know you were that type of person,” he starts to suddenly apologize, so when I forgive him, he starts to talk badly again. That repeats over and over. I think I’m sweet toward Kuramo-chan too. I can’t help but forgive him really easily.
Kaoru Kuramoto
I’m the type who is strict to myself. And that’s true for studying, too. I always choose the front seats at school, in order to stay focused and study hard. Even if I want to play sometimes, I study when I have to. But there are also soft sides to me. We play against each other in “Johnny’s Jr. land,” right? Whenever we do that, I plan my strategy while predicting what the other side will do. But they always do something far from my predictions! I’m soft with predictions.
Rin Takahashi
I love white chocolate. As for brown and dark chocolate, I have the image that they’re bitter, and I’m not good with bitter things. I can’t drink black coffee either. I have to put in a lot of sugar and milk. On every Valentine’s Day, a close friend gives me chocolate, but I’ve already told my friend that I want white chocolate (laughs). On the introductory card for school, I even wrote that my favorite food is white chocolate. I love white chocolate that much!
Yuta Jinguji
As Reia said, Kishi is too soft (laughs). During lessons, we bring drinks and a little of snacks. But Kishi only brings drinks. I bet he thinks that he can get some from someone else. He’s too soft (laughs). But I’m also soft too. I’m not good at planning the time, so if I am supposed to meet someone at a certain time, I don’t think too much and go with my feeling. And then I don’t get there in time. I’m not good at predictions or finishing touches. I regret this!
Fun-loving (page 128)
We asked them this month about “what they’re hooked on recently.”
Genki Iwahashi
I love things with a retro mood to it! I look at products on the internet, and have fun thinking, “That’s really great, I want it!” I especially like the American 60’s mood. There’s the old street, “Route 66,” right? I want to go there someday. There’s a TV show in which Yamashita (Tomohisa)-kun is driving down this Route 66, and I want to do that too someday. I want to do it riding in a big old American car. That’s my dream.
Kyohei Nishimoto
Some people I’m hooked on right now are Yamada (Ryosuke)-kun and Chiga (Kento)-kun. Yamada-kun’s muscles are amazing, and his dance is really cool! Chiga-kun is super godly at dancing! He has crisp and beautiful moves… I’m always watching, thinking how amazing he is. But even though he’s that good, he’s always practicing by himself during rehearsals or whenever there are breaks. I guess it’s necessary to practice that much. I have to work hard, too!

I like making original drinks! I mix bananas and oranges and make a kind of smoothie-like drink. A drink I completely messed up on was mixing kiwi and banana. It felt like the drink was stuck in my throat, and it didn’t work for me. A drink that was successful was mixing oranges and grapes! It tastes fresh. But I strongly recommend coca cola with orange juice. Try it at a drink bar at a family restaurant! You might get scared of the color (laughs), but it tastes good!
Syota Kawasaki
What the sweet-loving me got hooked on was the daifuku that I just got from Furubayashi! It was really sweet, and it had cream and sponge cake inside, and it was really good! Uh oh, I might really get hooked. He said that he bought it at a store in front of the train station, so I’ll buy it on the way home today! I often get hooked on food. A while ago, I used to like octopus with wasabi and liver sashimi, but a lot of people told me that it was “too old” (laughs).
Koki Furubayashi
If it’s food, I love the Japanese style simmered pork that my mother makes! The balance between the oily part and the meaty part is great, and I can probably eat three bowls of rice with that. And someone who I really respect is JUMP’s Nakajima Yuto-kun! He looks really cool while playing the drums. I can’t play instruments, but I wish I had the ability to play cool like that. I haven’t had the chance to talk to him yet, but I think I’ll become really nervous if I do, so I’m grateful with just looking at him for now (laughs).
