[Translation]Wink Up 03/2012 Shintaro+Juri Worthy RivalCross Talk

Feb 24, 2012 00:16

Another love themed interview from Shintaro and Juri! This one was a cross talk, and though the colors and style of the photo showcased their maturity and handsomeness, in the cross talk they really let their adorable, boyish personalities show. They talked about what they would do if they became love rivals and what they would do if they lived together.

What if these two good friends lived together?
What if they become love rivals?
With those themes, let the interview start!Even if the two of you knew that you liked the same girl, you wouldn’t talk about it, right?
What would happen if the two of you became love rivals?
Juri: I would probably aim for certain victory by making the first move.
Shintaro: I guess you could say that I’d give up…
Juri: You wouldn’t stand your ground?
Shintaro: That’s right, that’s right. I don’t have the courage to make a love confession, and I can’t decide what I’d say in that situation at this time. I’d probably take a step back and wait-and-see. Then, during that time, if you beat me…
Juri: You’d change your feelings?
Shintaro: I’d act like I’d given up, but I guess you could stay that I’d still be in love with her…
Juri: It seems like I’d do that too. If I got beat first, I’d say something like: “whatever, it’s fine, I’ve got another girl who I like,” but in truth I’d be really down.
Shintaro: But even if you were together with the girl you liked, you wouldn’t tell her your feelings, would you?
Juri: No, I wouldn’t. I wouldn’t tell her even if it was the right time to. But if we ended up going out then I’d probably say: “we’re dating.”
Shintaro: I’d ask: “are we dating?” but not until my feelings were discovered. What would you do if I ended up dating the girl we both liked?
Juri: I’d say: “good for you.”
Shintaro: “Congratulations!”
Juri: That’s what I’d be like on the surface…
Shintaro: Even if I said that, in my inner heart, it would be complicated.
Juri: Yeah, yeah, we’re the same. But even if that happened, we’d still be able to stay friends, right? Lets change the conversation now. What would you do if I suddenly met while you were on a date?
Shintaro: If you saw my partner, I’d say something like: “oh, oh…”
Juri: I’d ignore you! I’d mess with my phone or pretend to be listening to music.
The two of you are both indecisive, so you probably wouldn’t be able to pick a house.
What would happen if the two of you lived together?
Juri: It seems like it’d be really fun! But it seems like our room would get really dirty. Like we just left everything the way it was after we ate.
Shintaro: And then, when there was a mountain of garbage, it seems like we’d clean up a little.
Juri: It seems like our cooking would be irresponsible too. For starters, we’d just cook meat and eat it with tare sauce, that’s it.
Shintaro: Ahahaha. Since we’re two men living together, I think it’d have that feeling.
Juri: What about our rooms? It’d be great if there was a big bed and TV in my bedroom.
Shintaro: I want something like that too. Because if you put too much stuff in your room, it starts feeling cramped, right?
Juri: Also, I want there to be a big living room.
Shintaro: If we put a sofa and TV there, then I could just have a bed in my bedroom. When I want to watch TV, I could just go to the living room.
Juri: It’d probably be more fun to watch TV together in the living room than to watch it alone. If it was like that, then I wonder if it’d be okay if my whole room was just a bed! Like totally a bed, with not even a millimeter of space. And then I'd just lazilly put my clothes in the living room, that would work...
Shintaro: It’d be good if we had a closet.
Juri: We could both use the same one. We’d just divide up the space inside. If we did that, we could borrow each other’s clothes and stuff.
Shintaro: Ah~, that’d be nice.
Juri: But we couldn’t take each other’s shoes as we pleased.
Shintaro: Just get permission {from the person it belongs to} before wearing it. What kind of place would we live in?
Juri: A place that’s close to a convenience store and a super market, and a park or something too. More so than a big city, the feeling of a rural village is nice.
Shintaro: I also think a quieter place would be good. I live in a rural village right now, so places like Shibuya seem intolerably loud.
Juri: Ah~ I get that feeling. It’s loud and it’s bright. An environmental-like place suits me. The difficult thing is that both of us are indecisive, so we probably won’t be able to decide on a house… We’d go back and forth trying to make the other choose.
Shintaro: Then, finally, we’d pick with rock-paper-scissors (smile).
Juri: It seems like if we lived together, our personal connection would get stronger!
Shintaro: Ah~ that’s right.
Juri: Would call our school friends to come over and all hang out and play together.
Shintaro: Then our friends would increase.
Juri: What would we do if one of us liked a girl, and she liked him back, and he brought her home?
Shintaro: I’d probably go out. Then there’d be nothing to do but for you two to enjoy yourselves~. I definitely wouldn’t tell you to not come home or something.
Juri: I’d also go out, or I’d hole up in my room. I’d frantically search for a way to stay out of your way (smile).
