Revelations abound in this fun, summer-like photoshoot titled “Mutual Character Talk.” The boys of Hip!Hop!JUMP (no sign of Rikito, unfortunately) candidly discuss each other’s personalities. There are lots of compliments, and quite a few insults as well xD. Also, take a look at Juri, Morohoshi, and Kadoi’s shoes if you want to see some of the most colorful footwear ever created, probably. And notice how in the smaller pictures, everyone got a prop (Kadoi-baseball bat, Shoki-soccer ball, Jesse-badminton racquet, etc.) except for Keigo. Judging by his wet hair, he shared Juri’s water-gun prop by serving as the target.
Hip!Hop!JUMP Myojo 10/2011 Mutual Character Talk: “Even though we’re way too loud, please be kind to us!” These 5 energetic boys make big confessions about the other members’ characters! They teach us about unexpected sides of their personalities while making an uproar ✮
Juri Tanaka is this kind of guy!
It varies; there are times when he’s funny and times when he’s serious. He’s very diligent, doing things like practicing rapping in front of a mirror and investigating the DVD’s of people who are good at dancing. (Kadoi)
He’s truly a “gentleman.” He’s nice, and he cares about others. In the middle of practice, he helps the staff clean up without being asked, and is generally a hard working person. (Morohoshi)
He’s always getting everyone pumped up, but when his tension is low, the difference is radical. It’s easy to figure out why he’s feeling down, like if he’s sleepy or if he got a bad grade on a test. (Jesse)
He’s the type that would only save himself in a dangerous situation (smile). Before, when the two of us were fooling around and a scary staff member showed up, he immediately started acting serious. Because of that, I got in trouble! (Hagiya)
Tanaka Juri, born June 15th, 1995.
Keigo Hagiya is this kind of guy!
Lately, he’s totally the bullied character. Also, it makes me feel flustered when our eyes meet and he winks at me with a: “I’m handsome, you know” sort of smile. But when he dances, he’s really serious. (Jesse)
When everyone in Hip!Hop!JUMP is all worn out, he’s the one guy who keeps working hard. If everyone starts messing around in the middle of work time, he kindly calls out: “lets do it properly!” (Juri)
His heart is strong! When he’s teased, he doesn’t give up; instead, he becomes a little defiant. It’s amusing, and that kind of makes me want to tease him more. (Morohoshi)
He has the image of being grown up even though we’re in same grade, third year of middle school, so I tease him. If you were to compare someone in Hip!Hop!JUMP to an older brother, he’d probably be “the teased older brother.” (Kadoi)
Hagiya Keigo, born November 7th, 1996.
Jesse Lewis is this kind of guy!
At first glance, he’s got a cool character, but in reality he’s really hyper. The way he laughs is odd, and he laughs a lot, so when Jesse laughs everyone else enjoys it too. (Kadoi)
He’s a chicken, so when you scare him, his reaction is great. Also, his special talent is, after Jesse says: “it’ll be sunny tomorrow,” he gets goosebumps and the sun actually comes out. (Juri)
It pisses me off that he has such long legs! He’s actually a scaredy-cat, and gets goosebumps really easily. Before, when we went to karaoke, he had a delusion that a bug crawled out of a hole in the microphone… And got scared. (Morohoshi)
He really hates to lose. Also, when he’s being praised, when he makes a mistake, when he’s scared, and when he can’t accept having lost at cards, no matter what happens, he’s always smirking. (Hagiya)
Lewis Jesse, born June 11th, 1996.
Kento Kadoi is this kind of guy!
How would you put it… Mysterious-kun? He’s quiet, kind of has the feeling of an intellectual, and has the presence of being quite unique. Recently, he doesn’t only act as the “straight man” part of the comedy pair, but as the “funny man” too. (Morohoshi)
My pace. If you pay attention to him, you see that he’s daydreaming or reading a book and is totally immersed in his own little world… Also, I recently started thinking that he seems like the type to have a fear of heights. (Hagiya)
He still uses polite Japanese with rest of the group. But throughout this year he’s become super cheerful. Recently he started acting as the “funny man” in a comedy pair in a unique way… It’s really funny. (Jesse)
He’s the youngest in the group, and he looks like he’d be childish, but he’s unexpectedly mentally strong! Whenever a staff member gets angry at us, he switches places with me, because I would just accept the blame. (Juri)
Kadoi Kento, born January 7th, 1997.
Shoki Morohoshi is this kind of guy!
For starters, he’s an exaggerator. At the photoshoot location, the second he noticed a ball he screamed: “YEAH!!” and made a big uproar. For just a single ball, he got way too excited, right? (Jesse)
He’s horrible with mornings! He seriously can’t wake up. And he seems not to remember how bad he is with mornings, because he begs us to: “please wake me up early” and then complains when we desperately try to. (Hagiya)
He makes funny faces even on TV, and seems like the actor type. He often gets teased because he’s a little plump, but he’s unexpectedly focused on that part of himself, so I try not to tease him about it (smile). (Juri)
He’s really good at active things. He’s especially great at soccer, and in the midfielder position he can really run. If you were to compare Hip!Hop!JUMP to a family, he’d be the father. (Kadoi)
Morohoshi Shoki, born Ocober 13th, 1994.
