Dogs aren't susceptible to teargas. At least according to a medic I know who just tweeted it.  And the claim seems to be at least partially supported by the Intertubes ("dogs have little ability to tear and are protected by fur ( Read more... )

I don't know about tear gas, but I was advised to carry pepper spray/mace in case of dog attacks. So far I haven't had to use it.

My dogs have a habit of sneezing on me every day. They also fart on me too.
