The races I still haven't figured out how to vote on (Dem primary) are AG and SPI.

I don't believe i have the faintest idea how to evaluate for those positions, even if I was interested in investigating. So I almost always leave them blank.

Sure. But lots of people will just read the title and short summary, or remember all the pretty flyers they got in the mail and go by them.

Each prop comes with arguments for, arguments against, and a rebuttal to the arguments for and against.

I'm curious to hear your argument in favor of the blanket (or "jungle") primary--- is seems to produce bad results much more often than is desirable, due to vote-splitting. (The first chapter of Poundstone's "Gaming the Vote" is about Lousiana's jungle primary--- which they have since reverted to a standard partisan primary...)

I'm also interested in who is promoting it--- what's the perceived need?
