Re: Arizona and California. The tea party dragging the republicans into untenable far right positions is a big plus for democrats' chances.

I'd say that actually applies more to Florida and California, at least as first-order effects. Arizona is still a long-shot.

I think McCain will pull it out, unfortunately.

I see Gatewood Galbraith is still around. I remember him from 20 years ago or so. It's always nice when some of the comic relief is coming from people you don't abhor.
