Heh, nothing says 'welcome to asia' than well-meaning relatives pondering on your domestication level skills. How was Hong Kong? I'm headed there for New Years, any place note-worthy to check out?

I'd say that the Chi Lin Nunnery was the only place I thought was really special, every where else seemed over commercialised and way too crowded. We did intend to do some hiking as there are some major walks you can do, but I'm not sure if you want to spend your New Years doing that!

I can't say much about fine dining either, as we just didn't have time to book anything. Din Tai Fung is worth having for lunch, it's a whole lot better than the one they have in Sydney.
