I'm seriously suffering from some post Harry Potter let down.  I know Jill and Sadie have been known to suffer post show let down.  Not me, I suffer post excellent book let down.  I think it's particularly grueling this time as, of course, it's the last one and because I haven't had any sleep.  Dan has said that if I start watching all the Buffys ( Read more... )

To be honest, I'm just not even sure what to do with myself. I'm seriously considering re-reading all the Harry Potters again...not just because I can't stand to let go, but because I want to see what other things she put in the previous books that were foreshadowing the final ending. I was going back and "referencing" book six quite a bit when I got into the final chapters of book 7. Poor Harry the Golden Retriever felt really neglected this weekend. I don't know if he could deal with me re-reading everything!

not really, but i'm wanting someone to discuss things with since shelly isn't done reading it yet.

this was possibly the worst weekend ever for HP7 to come out. not only was shelly trying to get the store ready to open (thanks to some great friends, it happened) but the british open was happening (requires hours of dedicated TV viewing) and i got sick thanks to a jackass co-worker who knew he was sick and still came to work. i ended up being sick enough to call in on monday and after sleeping the entire morning i was able to read all afternoon and eventually finish after the kiddos went to bed monday night.

you must have double-let down since it's the last book in the series.

i have already thought about re-reading it, but decided i'd wait until Dan made it through the first time.

Cause when I see book, read, and HP all clumped together I think HP as in Lovecraft not the little wizard. The Call of Cthulhu is some of the scariest words in the English language.
