Alfie's surgery is over

First things first: all went well, all is well with Alfie Cat!

But what a ride that was. *shudder*

We expected Alfie to have nasal polyps or something of that kind removed. But then the CT showed that he's got an rare condition called "retropharyngeale stenosis". The doctor explained that there's a membrane in the throath with an opening allowing ( Read more... )

Wow. It is hard to believe poor Alfie could survive in a perpetual state of drowning. How awful. And how fortunate that he found you. You are pretty amazing in the love and care you have for your animals. The world could use a few more like you.

What a scary procedure! I would have been nerve-wrecked too. So glad it all turned out ok! You feel hugged and give him some cuddles from me, ok? :D

Go Alfie, you brave little fellow!

What a scary ride. The idea of "constantly drowning" sounds absolutely terrifying, and the the news that the surgery was much more complex than planned... *shudders* So glad to hear that it all went well, and that Alfie can now breathe normally. Goes to show that one should never write off "genetic accidents", I guess!
