The last day of Molly's Random Jukebox!

aglarien1 No. 59: "L'Arpeggiata, Christina Pluhar, Lucilla Galeazzi & Marco Beasley - Tarantella del Gargano"

Go for folk songs if you want to know what kind of music "ordinary" people enjoyed centuries ago. This is a wonderful example of a traditional Italian song from the 17th century; it hasn't lost any of its power ( Read more... )

You're welcome. :) It's a very mixed bag of music, but that way, it never gets boring. :)

Hadn't heard that Placebo cover. I usually like what I hear by them, but never actually remember to buy an album. I'll have to remedy that next time I'm in the local music store.

the highlight being some janitor locking the door to the venue and refusing to let staff and crew in because he thought Rammstein were devil worshippers or something

Now that I would have loved to see. In my head, I'm sure it's a lot zanier and funny than in reality.

It was hilarious, despite the stress. Our TD had to go and find the burgomaster, who was just preparing for some family event, and had to drag him to the venue to convince the janitur to unlock the doors. And then we discovered that the necessary permits to import the pyrotechnic into the country wasn't there, and I had to do a bit of magic with the authorities in charge (you don't get anywhere without some VIP tickets for Swan Lake...)

Note to self: bring 'Swan Lake' tickets when in Switzerland in case of troubles. Learn something new every day!

(They had a bit of trouble convincing a lot of the places here to allow the pyro, too. Every state has different fire codes, must have been a hassle.)

Oh my gosh! Did that ever put a smile on my face. I don't think you know that my father was Italian, ergo, so am I. Just could not have been more perfect, and I love folk songs and ancient music.

I didn't know! You picked the perfect song then, just like anteros_lmc. Good! :) (One of my great-grandmother was from Naples).

I want a guitar that sprays fire!

It's ages since I saw a Rammstein video - I think the last one I saw was based on Snow White perhaps - not really sure though.

Who doesn't? ;)

You mean "Rosenrot" - with the coke-sniffing Snow White spanking her dwarves... a classic!
