Molly's Random Jukebox: Day 7

The last day of Molly's Random Jukebox!

aglarien1 No. 59: "L'Arpeggiata, Christina Pluhar, Lucilla Galeazzi & Marco Beasley - Tarantella del Gargano"

Go for folk songs if you want to know what kind of music "ordinary" people enjoyed centuries ago. This is a wonderful example of a traditional Italian song from the 17th century; it hasn't lost any of its power through the centuries; one of those things which connect us to the past.

caecus_parvulus No. 110: "Placebo - Running up that Hill"

I really like Kate Bush's original, but this - woooh... very intense. I once had a really terrifying nightmare (about the aftermath of a war on a battlefield; very grim stuff), and that song was playing in the background ("Dreams don't come with sound!" Oh yes, they do. Sometimes.)

chaotic_binky No. 7: "Rammstein - Engel"

I'll never forget that conversation: "Isn't it a bit risky to book them... I don't think they can fill a venue of 1200 people..." Ahaha! The other highlight was "I don't think anybody want to see Robbie Williams without Take That". Rammstein will always be my favourites. 100% professional and reliable, a pleasure to work with. I don't know what they are like today, but back then, they were really great blokes. And this despite some truly catastrophic concerts (not that they noticed, I hope) - the highlight being some janitor locking the door to the venue and refusing to let staff and crew in because he thought Rammstein were devil worshippers or something. Haha! Good times, good times...

That's it! Hope you had fun, now it's back to regular service and exciting entries about the mating rites of dung beetles.
