Joyeux Anniversaire, joyeuse13! I'll be "celebrating" my birthday next Sunday by going to a Japanese teacher meeting in LA. But my husband and I decided we'll just have to celebrate on another day that week.

And contra (or even ECD) dance patterns from above are awesome. I've seen pictures like that back in Madison, at Folklore Village and the little synagogue where they used to dance on Tuesday nights. I've even taken some of those pictures. Balconies are a good thing.

Joyeux anniversaire, ma cher, and I am glad you had fun. Next time, bring some Windex and a towel. :-) Heh, heh..."Helium Hand Disease"? I love it. I am SO stealing that line.

Next time don't bother with the flash if you're shooting from upstairs. Flash light is only useful to about 20 feet at the most, if you've got a good flash.

I'd love to see the video of the overhead shot. I bet the patterns are really interesting to watch from there!

Well, I shot some with and some without, and it did make a difference, provided I held the lens right up to the glass.
