Okay, I think it's pretty obvious that .package files of CC make your game slower, but how about .sims3pack files? :s ( Read more... )

If you get too many s3p stuff then yes it can cause some lag just like anything else can. However I do not recommend switching things from s3p to package unless you know how something was created. For instance if patterns were made with TSR Workshop thingy then they end up causing extreme lag when you convert them to package files. I have had a couple bad experiences with s2p-package conversations in the past & am always wary of it now :/

But someone else may be more knowledgeable than I am, this is just from my own experience :/

I have about 300 things in s3p.. is that too much? :s I played without any CC (package or s3p) and then with and the lag seemed the same. I think any lag I had was from my EPs. And don't worry, I'd never switch from s3p to .package, I honestly hate .package files. I'd take s3p over them any day.

And thank you! ^-^

Oh god I am such opposite -I HATE HATE HATE s3p!!! They are so freaking annoying blehblehbleh. But lol ohmygod no 300 is like ... nothing. I think I have over 1000 patterns in s3p format -lolol! & like god I think nearly 14,000 s3ps in total. :P

Oh, also forgot to say that if you have Generations that could be causing your lag. My game was fine until I got this EP :/ Now it just lagslagslags all the time -& I have a really good gaming computer -booo @ EA.
