Authors Note: I know I've taken a bit of a liberty with the prompt, but this is what came to me.
A Man’s Chord
It always happened when he wasn’t trying, that he’d get the elusive chord. E-flat diminished ninth. He’d only been half joking years before when he’d told Willow that it could take your finger off, which is probably why if he thought about it he couldn’t do it through fear of losing his finger.
Not that it would have made much difference to the way he played when he was with the Dingoes, but the band he was with now were on the verge of a recording contract so losing a finger was a major concern.
And this time he wouldn’t have to leave because of his Were side as he had with several bands before when they’d got a contract with a studio because he was now in full control of the Wolf. Yet he still couldn’t get that chord, he could tame a beast that as far as he knew no-one else had ever been able to do yet he couldn’t get that E-Flat diminished ninth.
