I spent some time today paring away spells in SouthLab's spell catalogue, although I added a few different ones as well. It's down to 37 spells total from the apparent previous total of 45. Over a year ago I discussed an idea I had for Soulthieves, challenge games that would be unlocked after you'd completed the game once. I was tinkering with the numbers and considering characteristics of old and new races to try to balance everything out, and I've ended up tentatively settling on gnomes and ogres. SouthLab currently has a greatly stripped down selection of races and classes compared to other roguelikes. There are three races: humans, elves, and dwarves.
