*laughs*

You ARE evil! ;)

Good theory, that Clark is a symbiotic host or has been possessed. Poor Lex: just like in comics canon when presented with evidence that reporter Clark Kent is Superman, he waves it of because NO WAY would a demi-god live as a human amongst us. Oh, Lex! Lionel has warped you on that, hasn't he?

It's just hysterical that of all the theories a feverish Lex came up with, he rejects the truth as the most absurd! :)

Great bit with Clark's silver-blue eyes. And maybe Jonathan and Martha never saw that happen. It could be a recent development.

Good detail about Clark muttering in Kryptonese.

Fun story all around! Though I would love to see if the Kents ever find out that Lex knows. :)

*cackles* Why, thank you! *bows*

Oh, well, we're not quite there yet(?) -- Lex doesn't have a good idea of the "alien's powers" just yet, so demi-god status isn't really it. At the moment, I'd say the issue is more that Clark is too human to be an alien, in Lex's mind :)

Well, it is kinda messed up from a practical standpoint, you have to admit ;) ;)

*nods* It is a recent development -- comes in with the better (night + x-ray) vision.

He did remember Lara's name for awhile when he was younger, so I figured it might not be out of the realm of possibility :-D

Well, I do have plans to continue playing in this 'verse, so we should get there "eventually" ;)

And, I have to say: thank you so much for all the wonderful comments! You've really made my week! :) \o/

Yeah, SV Lex thinks Clark is too human. Comics Lex definitely sneers at the 'demi-god'. ;)

I'm glad you're considering continuing this. So many possibilities! I wonder how Clark will feel when he finds out just how convoluted Lex's thinking is about the symbiotic host. Maybe a little hurt that Lex is twisting himself into knots NOT to believe that Clark is an alien?

You're very welcome! I believe in commenting on authors' work. Authors work hard, especially on long fic, and if I like it, I comment! :)

Oh yes -- one of the many reasons why SV!Lex > DCU!Lex.

Hmmm, that wasn't my original thought, but that -will- come up in some form... This Clark is going to be a little less of a BDA than he was in the series, with Lex pushing/challenging him to think a little more sans a knee-jerk reaction of fear. I think that's going to come up in late #2 or early #3; unfortunately, there are "other things" that are going to take up a lot of their attention, first.

*g* Well then, I'm very glad you liked it!

After a million years I remember of commenting :P

I went crazy this part:

Then he moved it two steps to the left of third-person, closed his eyes, and clenched his jaw as he fought the urge to throttle the boy sitting next to him.
-Do I look as human as you do?

I went crazy this part:

Bravo! What a thoroughly wonderful story. I love the steps went through when the whole truth finally dawned on him. I'm glad that it wasn't an easy thing because for me that kind of trivializes the extent of the secret.

Damn them all. Clark would keep Lex safe on Earth, and Lex would keep Clark safe from the rest of the universe in return. He’d wipe all the bastards back to their respective Stone Ages for him, if that was what it took.

That's my Lex!

I am a Lex girl.

*g* So am I ;)

Now on to the unadulterated squeeing.

\o/ I love it when I do something right! :-D

I loved Lex's points here.

I always wondered in later seasons why Lex didn't have a bad day and ever say something about this sooner / when they were still friends. I guess he either tried harder to keep it all under, or didn't quite have -that- bad a day? *shrugs* (Hence the extras in the storeroom that I heaped on after the fact for justification! ^_^ ) I'm glad you liked it!

...Yep, shell-shocked is a good phrase for it:) Glad you liked the thinky!Lex here... as things start to catch up to him... ;)

Lex would be forgiven if he had thought that he had fallen down a rabbit hole, just like Alice.

*smiles* There is actually a small bit I already have written that touches lightly upon this thought close to the beginning of the next main fic in-series. (No, sorry, there isn't enough to post yet, though!)

like a computer trying analyze all of the data being presented to itWell, he didn't know anything about the caves ( ... )

That's my Sexy Lexy.

*lol* Mine, too! (mmm, best thing about sharing sexy Lexy is more to go around ;) ;)

--Oh, I will absolutely be revisiting this one! (Technically, I will revisit all my series eventually -- it's just a time and inspiration-to-sit-down-and-write-like-mad thing for some of them; they tend not to come out as well when I'm pounding away instead of working as strikes my fancy; unfortunately this means I tend to jump around a lot in spurts of progress :-/ )

The next main fic in this series may just be my SVBB fic, in point of fact. (It will be a serious undertaking though -- there was a -lot- of revision and multiple multiple passes that went into this one, and I'd like to make sure the next is up to snuff so... *nods*)

Anyway, I'm really glad you liked it, and thank you for the excellent (and long!) comment! (You really made my day today :)
