Woah -- long comment! *g* *huggles it* ty! josephina_x May 18 2012, 07:41:23 UTC
I am a Lex girl.

*g* So am I ;)

Now on to the unadulterated squeeing.

\o/ I love it when I do something right! :-D

I loved Lex's points here.

I always wondered in later seasons why Lex didn't have a bad day and ever say something about this sooner / when they were still friends. I guess he either tried harder to keep it all under, or didn't quite have -that- bad a day? *shrugs* (Hence the extras in the storeroom that I heaped on after the fact for justification! ^_^ ) I'm glad you liked it!

...Yep, shell-shocked is a good phrase for it:) Glad you liked the thinky!Lex here... as things start to catch up to him... ;)

Lex would be forgiven if he had thought that he had fallen down a rabbit hole, just like Alice.

*smiles* There is actually a small bit I already have written that touches lightly upon this thought close to the beginning of the next main fic in-series. (No, sorry, there isn't enough to post yet, though!)

like a computer trying analyze all of the data being presented to it

Well, he didn't know anything about the caves, Veritas, Kryptonians, or any of it way back then, so I figured he'd have less to constrain his imagination ;) Plus, always fun to play with a smart Lex, even if he isn't "firing on all cylinders" *g*

Yeah, I have generally been *bitchslap* every time I think of Jon telling Clark about the ship when he did. I mean, seriously -- who in their right mind does that to an already-horribly-upset and fear-full child?

Yep -- when this Clark gets into mother hen mode, it's hard for him to get out of it until whomever is all better ;)

Clark is really the first person in a long time that has actually paid any attention to Lex's emotional needs.

*nods* It's just unfortunate in-series that Clark as a 14-year-old and etc. just ultimately could not be responsible/helpful-enough for a 21-year-old Lex's mental and emotional health and well-being; he just had too many of his own problems, issues, and fears with not enough of the right support to be able to really help Lex the way he needed for a sustainable amount of time.

And yes, I firmly maintain that Lex needs more hugs (said it before, will say it again many times more;) ...Clark too, of course.

Loved his small paranoid reaction when he couldn't find his phone.

*g* I have a "deleted scene" that actually touches on this from Clark POV. It needs a little editing, and then a beta-ing, but I think I might be able to get it up soonish, if there is interest?

Testing, to see if Clark would let him or not.

Ah, "let". Such a fun word, that ;) ...But in the 'nicer' sense, yeah, Lex does value Clark's opinion and enjoys his mother-henning and concern.

Part of him worried, I think, that Clark wouldn't care enough to object.

*nods* There was a lot of curiosity there, too. Lex approached it from what he thought a Lex-like Clark would do (more adult, more sneaky and roundabout and conniving/controlling). In actuality, I think Clark's solution fits fairly well with a 14-year-old's grasp of who to go to, esp. considering his family ties, and honestly? Siccing Martha on him would probably work better on him than what Lex came up with (and I'm sure Clark knew how well it would work when he suggested it -- sneaky in a Kent way, dont'cha know! ;)

Glad he thinks Clark is the safer option.

*g* Me, too. He actually got a bit confused between 'imaginary scary-crazy alien at the top of the steps' and Clark -- they weren't the same to him at the time, and he really was fleeing back to Clark's room for safety because his friend was up there.

with Lex's internal and quite often sarcastic thoughts and comments.

Coping mechanism. *nods firmly*

;)

Damn woman I loved the whole thing as you may have figured out from this rambling feedback. I really adore it when you get inside Lex's head.

*g* I'm glad:)
