well, i have to say that i would be making way less than i thought, so i'm pretty sure i'm going back to korea.

i currently make 8000 pesos a month, which ends up being about $600USD with the exchange rate. the school i'm looking at in mexico city is offering 10000 pesos, which is about $700. and on top of that i would have to pay rent.

mexico is not a high-paying option, so you better have some savings. i looked at a school in peru, and the money was much worse...about $400USD a month with housing included. not the best option for paying student loans...

Not with your crazy American student loans! My little Canadian student loans, while still formidable, are manageable in a year of working a real job. I'm hoping to cut it in half with this serving job this summer. What I truly want to do is volunteer at this place called Taize in France - but I don't think I can do it with debt.

Viva la Mexico, baby!

well in that case, i TOTALLY recommend mexico city. i was there for 2 weeks for christmas and it is amazing. and i think spanish would be easier for you to learn with your french background, and overall much more useful/marketable.

mexico rocks, but not with my "crazy american student loans." crazy, indeed!
