I definitely didn't enjoy reading Antigone as much as some of the other plays, but maybe if I had read Oedipus Rex I would've been able to understand it better like you did. It was still interesting. It just didn't stick out to me like some of the others.

Yeah this was definitely a debate over church versus state. It was crazy how the plot went. Although we finally found out who the tragic hero was.
