And now Sony has pulled the movie, so any chance of going to see the movie as an opportunity to flip off the Norks has been nullified. This kind of cowering is going to bite us hard.
It's not surprising Sony Pictures has backed down. They are a corporation, not a military Power, and (unlike in cyberpunk) they don't have armies of assassins, hackers or mercenaries to deal with an attack against them by such a Power.
America has failed them. They chose to operate out of America in the belief that here they could make whatever movies they wanted and have their liberties enforced. Instead, the US government supinely watches them be attacked -- and does NOTHING.
Who next, now, will dictate to Americans what we can and cannot say? Until we start to fight back again, as a nation and a Great Power, the situation will only get worse.
