You know what I find ironic? This guy, came to Australia as a political refugee in 1996. Now, if you read that, you might think that he left Iran because he wasn't happy with the way Khomeini's followers were running the country, like so many other Persians who fled, do. You'd think he sought freedom.

Yet, once in his new country, he began preaching exactly the same principles as the leaders in his native land preach. Upholding the same ideals. So, to me that say that he wasn't a political refugee but an infiltrator, send by the Iranian government.

I know, I know, people will say that I'm a conspiracy nut, but look at the facts. He wanted to implement the same laws in Australia as are presently employed in his native Iran. He supports the IS. THAT is not the definition of a political refugee fleeing oppression but of a representative of that ideology. Maybe he wasn't sent by Iran. Maybe he was there because he felt compelled to 'spread the word of the book' on his own. That still makes him an agent.

Much more likely the "refugee" business was just an opportunistic con to get out of a country with a shitty economy and into one with a nice economy, or he had some other sort of ethnic or political conflict with the Iranian gov't, not a religious one.

As infiltration strategies go, randomly taking over a chocolate shop nearly two decades after emigrating just doesn't sound very effective.

Actually... Iran is Shia, if he's Sunni, as flying an Isis flag would indicate....
