people are afraid dbsk is being forgotten. it's not that they're being forgotten, it's that they have reached their peak. i said it.

mirotic days were explosive, cassies were crazy and wetting themselves - then a bomb explodes called lawsuit, jyj is formed and continues, homin is in the dark for 2 years with dramas that weren't that great then come ( Read more... )

I agree with you Homin don't live up to TVXQ. When they sing their own songs (suit their vocal the best) they sound good, dance well (truly sometimes I feel they are like robots, just too perfect and no true motion). But they are limited in their range, forcedly singing TVXQ songs, they don't sound so well, but it is embarrassing when some fans chose to be blind and praise them like flawless. I just can't get it. I am a fan, but when it sucks, I say it sucks. I can't lie to the truth. I just wish Homin are true to their perfectionist/picky_selves, learn to say "no" sometimes. My first wish was they should have picked another name for their duo. Oh well wish was not granted.

i agree with you about everything. while they do things well, it's very limited compared to dbsk5.

using "dbsk" and claiming to be the same/similar as before just isn't realistic.

and yessss they need to say no, especially if they're uncomfortable. i think some cassies like us are uncomfortable/embarrassed about them singing older dbsk songs, i think they should also feel the same (or that's what i'd like to think).

thank you for your feedback; i'd glad i'm not the only one feeling this way :)

I don't think there are only you and I who are concerned about their music, just some don't want to admit, some don't know where to voice out. Most of the time, when they said something they got bashed aggressively by some other fans. Things are getting ugly out there. I stopped myself coming to some OT5 websites, you know, to get stressed out. I don't think that Homin ever said they are the same or similar to before. But things now make it look that way. And they let it be that way without words, typical Homin. They are used to being shielded behind SME and fans.

i believe their reasoning for keeping "dbsk" as their name even as a duo, was to live up to that name and continue it, as closely as possible. maybe i interpreted wrong, but that's how i understand it.
true, it is getting ugly. there's always a reason someone will be bashed and that's difficult for most of us. i think it would've been easier if homin also left, but it's their choice. we're just living with it.
and yesss about the shielding of sme/fans. i think they're getting dependent on the before/current fans. so they're not getting anywhere.

Glad to know I'm not the only one thinking so. And I'm gonna be honest, when TVXQ were still 5 I used to wonder if it wouldn’t be better for Jaejoong and Junsu to be a duet or even to go solo. I mean, I liked TVXQ but sometimes I had the feeling Junsu and Jaejoong could do so much better if they went their own way. I am Jaejoong biased and his voice was (and still is) my favourite among the 5, very closely followed by Junsu’s. Once the split happened I started to notice the only solos I watched/listened to were Jaejoong, Junsu and Yoochun’s solos, without even realizing it I always skipped Yunho and Changmin’s solos. Not that I didn’t like them, their voices just didn’t attract me on their own. I guess that’s also why chosing JYJ over TVXQ (HoMin) wasn’t too difficult for me, because Jaejoong was the one who got me into TVXQ, because I fell in love with his voice first, then with Junsu’s and later on with Yoochun’s, but was never a big fan of Yunho and Changmin’s voices. Also, I can appreciate Yoochun even more now compared to during ( ... )

your viewpoint is very enlightening for me. i respect your decision to chose a side rather than both, but still not going anti like some extreme jyj cassies are :).
i'm glad i'm not the only one who thinks yunho won't make it as a solo. he was the best dancer but isn't an well-around, multi-skilled artist like jyj are (who are very well-rounded like you mentioned). as harsh as that sounds, i still love and respect him :).
i do agree with you that jyj can soar higher as a trio, i didn't pick a side and still want dbsk5 how ever slim that is, so i think for the better of homin, it'd be better if homin reunited with jyj. vocally, i think jyj does wayyyyyyy better. but as an old timer cassies, i need the good o' 5-member group that i know and love.
i know our viewpoints are different, though similar in some ways, but yeah that's my 2 cents :) thank you for commenting; it is an interesting perspective.

I think the chance of a reunion is very slim too, but as I said even if they don't come back as 5 I won't be disappointed because JYJ is more than enough for me. I still cherish TVXQ5's memories but surprisingly I found myself falling more and more in love with JYJ, to the point that my love for them is now stronger than the love I had for TVXQ5. About Yunho, it has always been obvious to me too that he was the one who wouldn't succeed if he ever went solo. And to me Junsu was always the best dancer in TVXQ5 (and ofc in JYJ too now), not Yunho so yeah, even as a dancer I didn't really found him that impressive (but it's true that I used to do dance myself and have quite high standarts when it comes to dancing). Still, even if I don't like this new TVXQ and can be quite critical about them sometimes, I will never hate on them because I have better things to do then to bash them and also because it will only put JYJ and their fans in a bad light (and believe me, both JYJ and JYJ fans have enough haters as it is already).

i always thought yunho had all the spot light when it came to dancing because that was his skill in the group. and jaejoong being the best singer. i saw junsu has having a double threat of dance and singing :). now everyone got better at each skill, so that's great :D.
i guess all we can do is hope for the better ^_^

i respect what you said but i dont agree with you,
there's no need to worry about tvxq as homin
cause these guys works so hard to do their best, i mean they improved their skills, voices and dances and they came back more than what we expect !
they sure cant sing every kind of vocals but they are good in what they do in their way, they are doing just great "max dont need to cover yunho's & yunho dont need to be stressed more than his well"
and though they tried to still as the old tvxq as they can, sure they are not exactly as tvxq5 cause they are just two now and no one of them was the main singer!

all i can say is that i have faith in yunho & max
they bring nice music, good vocals and kept tvxq's name a live
so there is no need to worry but to be respected :)
