Plugging along

I'll reach page 100 tomorrow, which is always a relief. I never feel as though I'm really in a book until 100, and everything I write after that always goes faster and smoother. I hear my characters, and their voices aren't completely solid until I've written a good deal of dialog ( Read more... )

I'm really happy for you and more than a little in awe. =) Seriously, I don't know how you do it.

And I'm already in love with your animals: how many/what are they, other than Blue?

Thanks, sweetie. I'm very motivated to write. I prefer living in a house and not in a cardboard box ( ... )

Wow, what a beautiful menagerie! It's so wonderful that you took them all in. (Even if there are hard-to-please literary critics among them.) Sounds like you have a cozy, lovely home, too.

Glad to hear the writing is going well.

Thanks so much. We do have a lovely home. I'm very, very lucky. I try to remember that every day.

Blue sounds like an intense critic. ;)

Yay page 100.

He's been known to shred pages he particularly dislikes. :)

And thanks. Yay, indeed. It's always such a relief.

LOL! Cats always think they know everything...And they usually do.

In this case, Blue was correct. Just don't tell him that.

OMG cats are such literary snobs!

Your basement sounds very inviting right now.

You'd like the basement. Come on over. I'll make tea. :)

I have the equivalent of Blue in my workplace too! He is called a "sub-editor". And usually his vomit is metaphorical. Usually.

Also, you should not solely judge on your cat's gastrointestinal distress. Sometimes good fic makes my stomach hurt. I'm just sayin'.

Congratulations on the writing going so awesomely! I guess you know the characters pretty well by now, so that must be fun. And hope the snow's not too much of a pain. It's 24C here... almost too hot, ugh.

Oh, I'm sorry about your Blue. I hear sub-editor and think bad copy editor, so I think I understand. Cat vomit is a lot easier to clean.

Luckily, it didn't snow today. Yay!

(How's it goin' on that transporting the freezer thing?)
